Location

Notes

The yellow car that appeared in Autocar & Custom Car in 1973 and the first centaur built. The Adams Brothers sold Peter Timpson, of Concept Cars, various probe parts including the modified Probe 15 shell that was used as the buck for the Probe 16 moulds. Peter then modified this back to something much more like the Probe 15. Note the difference between the front and the rear of the car relative to the rest of the Mk1 Centaurs, it retains the Probe 15 nose styling and louvred rear end. The key difference between the Probe 15 and this prototype Centaur was the use of side opening doors on the Centaur. Previous owners: David Hindley, John Weeks & Steve Groves. Chassis number CC173P. The DVLA  accepted its registration as a Probe 15 in May 2015 and the car is currently undergoing restoration to original Probe 15 specification.
